On Nov 8th, 2009, we held our first black belt test.  Nathan Unger-Smith went for black sash in front of a testing board consisting of GM Al Dacascos, Sifu John Knutson, Sifu Colin Davey, Sifu Jason Goldsmith, and Sibak Kurt Goldsmith.  In a test lasting 8 hours, with 21 other people testing and 10 other Yukis, Nathan successfully earned his black sash.

Sihing Nathan is the first black sash promoted under Sifu Jason, and resides in the Baltimore area, where he will be opening a school soon.
