Well, if we are to include non-anime then I may as well list the rest of my library:
Sci-Fi/Fantasy Farscape (Seasons 1-4) Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars -an excellent sci-fi series, critically acclaimed, better than Firefly even accounting for Firefly's unfairly short run (another Fox network blunder) The Lord of the Rings - all three movies in Special Edition and Theatrical Releases Dune (SciFi miniseries) Children of Dune (SciFI miniseries) Crouching Tiger - Hidden Dragon Sin City - Unrated Extended Edition The Matrix Trilogy Terminator 2: Judgment Day Extreme DVD Edition Drama L.A. Confidential Syriana And the Band Played On The Shawshank Redemption The Insider The Shield (Seasons 1-3) -cop drama set in L.A., very good, season 7 later this year War Band of Brothers (miniseries) Platoon Full Metal Jacket The Big Red One: The Reconstruction Action/General Kill Bill Vol.1 and 2 Ronin Payback Desperado The Replacement Killers Ocean's 11 |

Until we get a discussion section for non-martial arts (ie; general community or the like), I guess this will go in the martial arts > general discussion area.
As it turns out, a number of us are anime viewers, some overlapping tastes, some not, and apparently (not surprising given the amount of anime out there) possessed of anime libraries including works not known of by the others. It's been suggested that a community event would be an anime movie night. To do so the first step is finding out who would be interested and what is available in peoples' personal libraries. So here is a listing of what I have. Episode numbers in ( ), all sets are complete. FLCL (Fooly Cooly) Ultimate Edition (6) Witch Hunter Robin (26) Gasaraki (26) Mobile Suit Gundam: 8th MS Team (12) Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memories (13) Martian Successor Nadesico (26) Cowboy Bebop (26) Cowboy Bebop: The Movie Samurai X OVA (6) Ghost in the Shell:Stand Alone Complex (26) Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2nd Gig (26) Ghost in the Shell: SAC Solid State Society (movie) Ghost in the Shell (movie) Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (movie) Akira (movie) Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade (movie) Read or Die (movie) Post in this thread your own libraries and we can see about an anime night some time in the future. People can also use the listings to setup loans/trades, rather than waiting to see something particular at a movie night. Stuart |
